Initial and Recurrent Training

Before being employed by Keewatin Air as a flight crew member, each pilot must undergo extensive initial and recurrent training. This education is presented in three separate components: Ground School, Simulator Training, and Line Indoctrination.

Specialized Training Facilities

All flight crews receive initial and recurrent simulator training at specialized training facilities in the USA. FlightSafety International facilitates our King Air (Wichita, KS) and LearJet (Tucson, AZ) training in their advanced-technology equipment, vertically integrated design, superior visual systems, and highest-fidelity displays, including those equipped with all-glass technology.

Garmin 1000 Flight Instrument

 

All our King Airs are outfitted with the Garmin 1000 integrated flight instrument system. This system is a replacement for the conventional flight instruments and avionics and is composed of two display units. FlightSafety International boasts the only G1000 full-motion flight simulator at their facility in Wichita, KS.

All our Pilatus PC12 initial training is completed at SIMCOM in Orlando, FL. They are the authorized training provider for the Pilatus PC12, and the simulator is equipped with the latest avionics configuration.
